Nara Narayan Sevasram Sangha (NNSS NGO) is a philanthropic and charitable organization with a firm and enduring commitment to improving the lives of the underprivileged. This guiding principle of concern for the weak and deprived citizens has been the force empowering our members to dedicate their lives to serving humanity. The Sangha was situated in the year 1980 at Bagdah, North 24 Parganas.
It particularly covers the population (male and female) of the poor community of the North 24 Parganas district. Besides, it renders its services for the underprivileged children of the rural community, and other deprived sections.
The focus of its services is to strengthen human rights and justice through bridging the socio-economic gap among different stakeholders. Participatory action, research, and so forth need-based approaches are integrating the multi-layered stakeholders and service providers. All these activities are supported by the Government of West Bengal and other donor agencies. A team of highly experienced and qualified human resources has extended their hands for effective implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of every program. The organization and its collaborative efforts are dedicated to building up a peaceful integrated society. It never supports communal disharmony. That’s why, its work is for all, no consideration of race and creed particularly. It tries to draw the attention of mass upper-class citizens for their help and cooperation. We, here in the organization, promise to keep the harmony of the society and simultaneously, build up a society for equal justice and rights.
Inspired by Swami Satyananda Paramhanshadeb In the year of 1996 Swami Birananda Brahamchary and Dr. Tejendranath Sen Create Satyananda Vidyaniketan, Bagdah. Satyananda Vidyaniketan (Nursery to Primary) at Bagdah block, 24 Prganas North, West Bengal India. It’s at Bangladesh border is a very poor area. Under the banner of Swami Satyananda Sevashram Sangha the school was opened on 1st April 1996. Initially it was a simple shade with tiles roof with 25 students. With the sincere efforts of some benevolent person at present it is 2 stored building with 16 class room, 1 Computer room for teaching the students, 1 office room, 1 teacher’s room and a library. Also provision of filtered drinking water, separate rest rooms for boys, girls and Teachers At present number of teachers are 15+, 5 non teaching staff and attendants for Pre Nursery to Five are 450+. Also we have hired 6 vehicles to transport students from their home and drop them to home. Our mission is to provide with quality education with least cost.
This school is recognised by Govt. of W.B. Till now we have not received any aid from any agency except a donation of Rs.1,20,000, from Sree Sarada Ramkrishna Mission-Dakshinrswar ,Kolkata during opening the school. AS it’s a poor area we can’t charge appropriate Tuition Fees from parents so to meet the expense we collect donation from benevolent persons. Our main monthly expenditure are salary to the Teachers and Attendants, Electricity Bill and Drivers. Apart from these time to time Maintenance and Construction cost when needed.
1). Medical routine check-up of the students with team of doctors from time to time even their parents if they request.
2). Run a free Eye Clinic for local people and made an arrangement to do free Cataract operation in Disha Eye Hospital (Renowned) Eye Hospital in Kolkata.
3) In winter we donate Blankets and other dresses to the poor people of the area and nearby.
